Platt Motors is proud to present this beautifully restored and thoughtfully upgraded 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Sedan. Completed as a documented rotisserie restoration in 2022, this stunning Tri-Five combines iconic Chevrolet styling with modern performance, comfort, and reliability.
Finished in eye-catching Ford Amber Gold Metallic with a contrasting black roof, this Bel Air underwent a body-off-frame rotisserie restoration with extensive photographic documentation. Since completion, the car has accumulated approximately 1,100 miles, and the recently installed ATK Stage 3 350 V8 crate engine has fewer than 500 miles of use.
Power is provided by an ATK Stage 3 350 cubic-inch V8 producing approximately 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, delivering an engaging driving experience rarely found in Tri-Five Chevrolets. Power is transferred through a Ford 9-inch rear axle equipped with 3.89 gears and Currie 31-spline axles.
The chassis was upgraded with tubular upper and lower control arms, CPP power steering, Monroe air shocks, a McLeod hydraulic clutch system, and four-wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors. A Hurricane aluminum cross-flow radiator and 150-amp alternator help ensure dependable operation in modern traffic conditions.
Inside, the cabin features a professionally upholstered camel leather interior by Leather Hide Store.
