1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe Full Frame-Off Restored, Turn-Key Custom Build
Offered for sale is this beautifully restored and tastefully modified 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe a true American icon that has undergone a comprehensive frame-off restoration and customization. This car strikes the perfect balance between classic Tri-Five styling and modern drivability, making it the ideal weekend cruiser, showpiece, or highway tourer.
Under the hood is a rebuilt GM 350ci 5.7-liter V8, bored .040 over and fitted with a 327 cam and 4-bolt main. This strong, smooth powerplant is paired to a reliable Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission, delivering responsive acceleration and highway comfort. Fuel delivery is handled by an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor mounted on an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. Additional upgrades include an electronic ignition system and dual 14" MagnaFlow stainless steel exhaust for a throaty, classic V8 rumble.
Cooling is no issue thanks to a heavy-duty Modine 3-row cross-flow radiator (recored in 2022) and a new Interstate battery. A stainless steel 16-gallon fuel tank and new fuel lines add long-term reliability.
Driving comfort is enhanced with power steering, power front disc brakes, and factory A/C that blows cold. Inside, you'll find 8-way power bucket seats and a custom center console. The interior has been tastefully redone with quality materials, a tilt steering column for ease of entry and comfort, and an aftermarket stereo system integrated into the dash for a clean look.
The car rides on 16" American Racing wheels with an aggressive staggered offset that fills the wheel wells perfectly, giving the Bel Air a bold but refined stance. The 10-bolt rear end sports a highway-friendly 2.73 gear ratio, making it a comfortable cruiser even at freeway speeds.
